>What is a courier?

A courier is an individual or company that picks up peoples’ goods and delivers them. At CourierVA, we also have the freedom to personalize our services with you. We are good at answering requests: you can expect customized distribution, critical-time sensitive deliveries, regional freight, last mile, white glove deliveries, institutional distribution, and even less than truckload (LTL) loads, as well as door to door. One of the great things about personalized service is that it is customized based on your own needs. When you are satisfied, we are satisfied – as you can imagine, we are serious about making our customers satisfied.

>Do couriers go by any other names?

Other titles for couriers can include “delivery drivers.” Some couriers are also known as “route drivers.” Other related terms include transportation services, haulage, freightage and dispatch.

>What kind of deliveries do couriers make?

Couriers make all deliveries on land. We can even go to sea if that is what your customization requires. We are right at home there, being honorable discharged from the Navy in the 80s.

>What kind of things does CourierVA pick up and deliver?

CourierVA picks up just about anything you have to ship. At CourierVA, we move a lot of wine and lumber, and in-between we pick up parcels, put together proposals, build displays, and deliver them. We go the pharmacy and pick up your meds, and deliver them to you. And we don’t necessarily have to deliver from point A to point B- we can make as many stops as you need, and deliver to any address that is convenient for you.

>What is a parcel?

A parcel can be just about anything from a single letter, to a box of microscopes, to bundles of flooring to cases or bottles of wine. A parcel can also be a plot of land, but that is about the only thing we don’t deliver.

>How long has CourierVA been in business?

CourierVA was founded in 2014 and is owned and operated by veterans, with decades of delivery and service experience behind them. Just the two main principles have over 100 years of experience in delivery and customer service, and everyone we employ as couriers are experienced and are professional. We won’t let you down.

>Does CourierVA bring items into the house?

CourierVA is happy to leave your goods in the best place you have designated, whether it’s an upstairs bedroom, on the porch, or in the garage. If you are not home, we will use paperwork and images for proof of delivery. We can also notify you when the delivery has been made. Or, we can bring it right to you no matter where you are located.
